How to find us

Our room is inside Paul Roos Gymnasium, tucked against the side of the Japie Krige Hall. Six steps, with a photo of every turn that matters.

Before you leave home

Park on Noordwal-Wes Road
Anywhere along the kerb is fine. Parents may not drive onto the school grounds. That is a school rule, and you will be turned around at the gate.
Leave fifteen minutes early
It is about a five-minute walk from the car. Be at our door ten minutes before your session starts.

Park on Noordwal-Wes Road, then walk
Find any open spot along Noordwal-Wes Road and leave the car there. Walk the rest of the way. Parents may not drive onto the school grounds, and you will be turned around at the gate.

Walk in at Gate 3 and tell the guard why you are here
The gate you want is the one in the photo below: two white pillars, PAUL ROOS along the wall, and a black HEK 3 plaque on the right-hand side.
A guard stops everyone here and is expecting people, so this takes about five seconds. Say:
Say this
“I’m here for DrivePrep, the driving simulator room next to the Japie Krige Hall.”

Turn right and walk until you see this building
Once you are through the gate, turn right and follow the road. Keep going until this building is in front of you: cream walls, tall white columns, PAUL ROOS GIMNASIUM across the top and JAPIE KRIGE SAAL / HALL on the sign below it.
The red line is the walk. It ends where you are going.

Head for the right-hand side of the hall
Do not go up the big front steps between the columns. That is the hall itself and it is not us. Carry on past the front of the building and around to its right-hand side, following the road.
You are aiming for the staircase circled in red. It is the second one.

Take the second staircase, not the first
There are two flights of steps along this side of the hall, and the one you want is the second, out past the corner of the building.
The first flight, tucked hard against the hall wall, is not ours. If you find yourself climbing with the wall of the hall against your shoulder, come back down and carry on a few metres further.

Come straight in. No need to knock or wait outside.
